My Confession

Dear friends,

Welcome to Lift up His Name!

The purpose of this blog is to lift up the Name of Jesus by sharing inspiration, encouragement and hope through the word of God.

In this first post, I am sharing a document titled My Confession.

The Bible tells us that believers in Christ are a new creation, and that we now have a new spiritual identity (2 Cor 5:17). The Bible also tells us about the truths, blessings and promises that pertain to this new identity.

But how well do we know these characteristics of our new identity? And to what extent do we actually think of ourselves in terms of that identity?

It is important that we know who we are in Christ. The more we renew our minds to appreciate and acknowledge our true identity in Christ, the more effective we become as Christians (Philem 6).

This document contains a list of Bible-based confessions, along with scriptural references, that affirm some of the blessings, promises and spiritual realities that belong to our new identity in Christ.

I pray that as you meditate on them and confess them with your mouth, they will lead you into a greater appreciation of your identity and your heritage in Christ.

Shalom!
